Tornado Quilt Pattern

It's been a busy Christmas season! I had a few projects leading up to Christmas - some stockings, a  quilted ornament and an infinity scarf. Then I had to put my sewing machine away to make room for Christmas dinner. Other than of the stockings, I seem to have neglected taking photos. After a great vacation, it's back to routine with time for new projects - like making an ice rink in the frigid weather, working on a baby quilt for a friend and finally writing a pattern for the Tornado quilt!

It's the first quilt I've designed that I've attempted to make a proper pattern for.  So far, I've made seven large quilts, three t-shirt quilts and maybe four baby quilts. Between all of them, I only followed a pattern for three of them, so I don't have much experience with patterns. My usual style is to start with a sketch, do all of the math, write a plan and then tweak, fix it and add to it as I go. So I took my sketches, diagrams and notes and turned them into a pattern to share.
